Q: How do you clean the wax and wick from the 8 oz. whiskey glass candle?
A: Here's a step-by-step guide to cleaning the glass after the candle has burned down with 1/4" of wax left:
- Chill the Glass: Place the whiskey glass in the refrigerator and let it sit for a few hours of until the remaining wax has hardened and becomes easy to handle.
- Scoop Out the Wax: Once the wax has hardened, take a spoon or a butter knife and gently scoop out the hardened wax from the glass. Be careful not to scratch or damage the glass while doing this. The wick stickers should scrape our easily with a spoon.
- Warm Water Rinse: Rinse the glass under warm water to remove any residual wax and to help soften any stubborn wax remnants.
- Soap and Water Cleaning: Fill the sink or a bowl with warm, soapy water. Submerge the whiskey glass in the water and use a soft sponge or cloth to clean the inside and outside the glass, removing any wax residue, dirt, or soot.
